الأئمّة الحنفيّة: أبو حنيفة وأصحابه

The Hanafi masters, including Zufar b. al-Hudhayl, had a profound role not only in the formation of the Hanafi school but in the development of Islamic law more generally. In this course, students will take a detailed look at the lives, careers, and thought of the Hanafi masters: Abu Hanifa, Zufar, Abu Yusuf, and Muhammad al-Shaybani. They will acquaint themselves with the broader social, political, and intellectual climate within which these jurists lived, learn about their legal and theological contributions, and take a balanced and critical look at some points of controversy raised about them in the realm of law, hadith, and creed. *RECORDINGS ONLY*

Description: Fiqh was planted by ʿAbdullah b.
